Release date and trailers

The official Steam page says the game is not yet available and plans to unlock around October 20, 2026. Its news section includes an announcement that the game is launching October 20 and that the release date trailer is out now.

A separate YouTube upload shows the We Were Here Tomorrow Demo Shadowdrop Trailer from The Triple-i Initiative. That teaser focuses on an experimental reactor, rifts through time, and the player being asked to stabilize them.

What the game is

We Were Here Tomorrow is the fifth main entry in the We Were Here series and the sixth We Were Here game overall. The Steam page describes it as an asymmetrical co-op adventure set in a mysterious Norček facility beneath the ice of Antarctica.

You and your partner awaken inside the facility with little memory of how you got there. Director Kathleen Bowe asks you to continue work left behind by a missing research team. Each player gets a different tool, and you rely on walkie-talkies to describe what you see and solve puzzles together.

The setting is an imagined retro-futuristic 80s future with a synthwave soundtrack.
