We Were Here Tomorrow Demo Xbox Availability and Date
The April 2026 We Were Here Tomorrow demo was Steam-only for one week; Xbox Series X|S gets the full game Oct 20 with cross-play.
Table of Contents
Short answer: the announced We Were Here Tomorrow demo was Steam-only, not an Xbox demo. The April 2026 demo ran exclusively on Steam for one week. As of 2026-10-14, the Xbox Store page does not list a demo or trial for the game.
The April demo
The GamesPress announcement says Total Mayhem Games released the We Were Here Tomorrow demo on Steam on April 9, 2026, and made it available exclusively via Steam for one week. The demo covered the opening Norcek facility and included three co-op puzzles. It was a two-player experience, so players needed a partner.
What Xbox players have
The Xbox Store page lists We Were Here Tomorrow for Xbox Series X|S with online co-op for 2 players, Xbox achievements, and cloud saves. As of 2026-10-14, that Xbox Store page does not list a separate demo or trial.
The full game is scheduled for October 20, 2026, according to the official Steam page, and the Release Date Reveal Trailer says cross-play is supported between Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Xbox online note
On Xbox, the store page notes that online multiplayer requires Game Pass Core or Ultimate. That is the normal Xbox subscription requirement for paid online multiplayer games.
How to check for a future Xbox demo
The best place to check is the game’s Xbox Store page. If a demo later appears, it should be listed there as a separate download or trial. The only reported demo as of 2026-10-14 is the Steam-only April 2026 demo.
